About Park Güell

Park Güell is one of Antoni Gaudí’s most emblematic works and a landmark of Catalan modernism. Begun in the early 20th century as an urban development project, it was conceived as a garden city integrating architecture and nature. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, it reflects Gaudí’s creativity and innovative vision within Barcelona’s urban landscape.

What to see during the visit

The visit to Park Güell includes its famous trencadís mosaics, the Hypostyle Hall, squares, and viaducts integrated into the natural surroundings. With the audio guide, you can discover the meaning of its organic forms, fountains, and sculptures, as well as Gaudí’s House Museum. From its viewpoints, you can enjoy panoramic views of Barcelona, understanding the connection between nature, architecture, and symbolism.

“Nothing is art if it does not come from nature.” — Antoni Gaudí

  • Park Güell was originally conceived as a luxury residential development.
